But due to the decline of wildlife numbers in the years of the 1970s-1980s. They changed their mode of living from hunting and gathering to agro-pastoralism and you can now visit them on the slopes of Mt.Moroto and up to the mountain.

With a  4WD Safari vehicle, You can continue to the border of South Sudan passing through a rugged, semi–arid province to visit the “IK” people known as Teuso residing on the slopes of Mt. Morungole. As their name states. These were the first migrants who settle in the Karamojong region, Ik people live with approximately less than 10,000 individuals. They migrated from Ethiopia and settled in Kenya and in the northeastern part of Uganda, which is Karamoja.
